The Bianca Alabaster Large Wall Sconce brings the alabaster wall vocabulary into a substantial vertical column silhouette — a two-foot alabaster column mounted on an aged-brass brass framework, the entire fixture reading as stone-from-within architectural detail rather than ambient mounted ornament. The alabaster transmission is the design's defining material gesture; the substantial vertical proportion gives the stone its specific architectural presence.
The alabaster column does specific work that no glass or metal shade can. Where glass refracts light passing through and metal reflects light bouncing off, alabaster transmits — the bulb behind the alabaster column warms the stone from within, the entire column glowing softly as a single illuminated stone element rather than emitting a directional source.
